Two for Two
Accent International was the ideal bridge to enable me to fine-tune my move from the academic to the corporate world. In the spring of 2001, I contacted Accent and expressed my desire to continue in a high-level executive support position but with a French company in order to better use my language skills and academic background in French. Determined to anchor myself in the international business sector, I had already left a non-tenured university teaching position and was working for a big player in the technology world. I was not, however, using my French. Accent found me my current position, one that I consider the perfect fit, with a French pharmaceutical. Now I read, write and speak French every workday, and Paris is once again part of my daily routine.

This in itself would be a success story, but there is more. When my son Christopher returned last winter from a year of study abroad in Paris, he wanted to put to use his new college degree and linguistic skills in metropolitan New York.
